• Purpose: gives you your own copy of the made-up demo data, so the changes you make in the demo are yours alone.
• How long it lasts: until you close your browser. Your copy of the demo data is deleted after two hours without use, or sooner when many people are using the demo.
• What it holds: a random reference for your copy. Scripts on the page cannot read it.

lp_app_session

• Purpose: keeps you signed in to the product, or to the demo as the made-up person you chose.
• How long it lasts: until you sign out or close your browser. The session ends sooner after 30 minutes without use, or 12 hours after you signed in.
• What it holds: a random reference for your session. Scripts on the page cannot read it.

lp_sign_in_state

• Purpose: links your council's sign-in page back to the browser that opened it, while you sign in with your council account.
• How long it lasts: 10 minutes, or until you finish signing in.
• What it holds: a random reference for that sign-in. Scripts on the page cannot read it.

Signing in and the demo cannot work without these cookies, so they are set without asking for consent.
